Why Scam?

Why do people have to be so sad; to scam?

I noticed this girl who kept saying; 

"Giving away my acc send 2 good gifts"

And she had done that for a month, still spamming me with the same message. Then she made an artbook;

"Send me 2 good gifts and I will give you these clothings"

And by the comments (which she later deleted); people had sent great gifts, and had got nothing in return.

But then she sends me this message;

I asked her what her YT is, and she told me "I will tell you after you send something" so I said how I knew she was scamming, and then she went and blocked me. (That's how I can't post in the convo, the other msg was after I added her on my backup).

So then I went onto my backup and told her how it's pointless to be scamming people and she went with this;

I don't understand, why do people scam? It's a sad thing to do, mostly with rares or to low levels who don't have many clothes.

*EDIT* A few minutes after posting this, I asked her if she was done yet. Hm look; xD
